Since my kids grew up and moved on with their lives I have had a lot of time to reflect on the past. I loved being a mommy. Planning all the birthday parties was one of my favorite things. I loved watching my plan become a reality. The smiles of the kids faces was so rewarding. As they got older I still had amazing parties for them. We added new parties to our life. We had movie night with all the kids friends which always included a bon fire and smores!
We spent countless hours sitting on bleachers watching numerous games. I thought I would never get away from having "bleacher butt". I went from sitting on bleachers to sitting on the floor for hours making posters for our upcoming games. Markers and paint covering every inch of our floor. Boxes of streamers and glitter waiting for their place on our priceless piece of art. All the posters lining the gym walls, the football fields, the buses, the school hallways, the cars, throughout the town, and everywhere else we could fill a space. Through the heat, the rain, and the snow I enjoyed every minute of it.
Then we started having Graduation parties. Don't get me wrong, I loved those but they were so bitter sweet for me. It meant my babies would be leaving home soon. My days of packing lunches, driving them back and forth everywhere, sitting on bleachers, making posters, planning weekly movie parties, reminding them to pick up after themselves, begging at least one of them to go to the grocery store with me, hearing about their daily lives, and so much more would soon be ending.
With each phase of their lives I miss the last more and more. I am so blessed to have wonderful children and amazing memories of their childhood. They amaze me still!
So now I am on to a new chapter. I have Jimmy and his little girls. As my daughter put it in my Mother's Day card, I get another chance to play "mommy". To give two beautiful girls the barbie tea parties and all the crafting their hearts can take :) My heart is filled with pride that my daughter has amazing memories of her childhood and believes I was an amazing mommy :)
Cheers to the past, present, and future :)

This is it....
This is it....my first attempt at blogging. This is it has so many meanings for me and pretty much sums up the current stage of my life. My kids are grown and have lives of their own. I am so very proud of all 3 of them. My amazing boyfriend has shown me that true love really does exist. He has brought so much happiness to my life along with 2 adorable little girls. They are my second chance of playing with Barbies and experiencing the world of little princesses all over again. I am not sure what random thoughts I will have but I am sure there will be a lot about family and total bliss :) Welcome to my This is it world!
